First and foremost, a kitchen remodeling contractor has to be licensed. This is the most basic requirement you could ask of your Denver, CO area contractor. Check if he has the necessary certification from professional and trade organizations. Does he heave proper licensing? An unlicensed contractor on your premises can be a huge liability in case there is an accident on your property. You will be responsible for injured caused to worker injured on your premises. Take a while to check into these requirements before you proceed further. Your kitchen remodeling contractor must also have several years of experience in the business.
Your kitchen remodeling contractor should be part of a professional company. This means that the Denver, CO area company he works for should have brick and mortar address and should present a professional and organized face. Workers should be uniformed and have identity prominently displayed. They should be neat in their personal appearances and hammer. They should come equipped with all the tools necessary for the trade. Last but least, ask for references before you sign on the contracts. Don't settle for names -- call these people and check up on his credentials? Did they have a good experience with his services? Would they recommend him?
Hello, I have a flat built around 100 years ago that needs an updated kitchen. Would require new flooring, cabinets, counters, and minor structural updates (potentially closing one door, opening another to a washroom area), but this would depend on suggested design. There is also a pantry area that could be updated, as well as a closet connected to the kitchen that houses a water heater. Need ideas on potential suggested designs and cost estimates. Not looking to use super high end, but medium to good quality materials. Thanks
